How does a protein fold ? When a protein folding experiment was carried out by using the selenium reagent newly developed, the folding reaction ended up quickly in a short time, but producing only misfolded species. The quench-flow instrument was equipped and is used for identifying the folding intermediates that are produced at the early stage of the folding events.
