The 5th Japanese Selenium Meeting was held at Takanawa Campus of Tokai University (July, 2019)

In the meeting of this year, domestic researchers working in versatile fields of Selenium, such as medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, and medical science as well as organic chemistry, gathered in Takanawa Campus of Tokai University. They presented the progress of their own research and discussed together for two days (July 20 to 21, 2019). Participants counted 56, including 20 students, from universities, research institutes, and companies. Potential activity of the research of Selenium is very high in Japan and will increase more in the next decade. The next meeting will be held in Chiba in fall, 2020.
