Need Players for Orchestra Performance in Pacifichem 2015 (August, 2015)

This winter, there is a great opportunity for the chemists, who love classic music, in Honolulu, Hawaii. During Pacifichem 2015, Chemistry Orchestra will have a series of special concerts (#A, #B, #C). The orchestra is now recruiting voluntary chemists who can join the concerts as a player. Anyone interested in this music performance, contact Dr. Michio Iwaoka (e-mail: miwaoka@tokai.ac.jp), who is leading the orchestra.

Chemistry Orchestra was founded in 2003 in Tokyo, Japan in the occasion of the 125 years anniversary of the Chemical Society of Japan by some voluntary chemists who love music as well as flasks and pipettes. Since then, the orchestra has had a number of opportunities to play Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, etc. in domestic meetings of Japanese chemical society and international meetings, such as Wissenschaftsforum Chemie 2011 in Bremen, Germany (photo).
